Glenys has been involved in gold and coal mining for over 30 years, her son Riley runs a modern-day gold mining operation and daughter Bron is the farm manager producing top quality meats for the lodge meals.
If you choose to join us for an evening meal you will taste home grown meats and vegetables, with delicious desserts. Pre-dinner drinks are served on the terrace as weather permits, we also have gluten free and vegetarian meals available.
Our specialty dessert is the NZ famous Pavlova made with local free-range eggs and fresh strawberries and raspberries in season.
Enjoy an interaction with our very friendly horses and cows, The Angus bulls love to be fed apples, there is always animals wanting your attention. Guests are encouraged to join us in our daily activities even visiting the working gold mine.
The local lakes & rivers provide opportunities for fishing, local guides can be arranged to take the best advantage of the area's rivers.
